Information about cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer when visiting a website. This text file stores information that can be read by the website when visiting it again at a later date. Some of these cookies are necessary because otherwise the site is unable to function properly. Other cookies are convenient for the visitor: they remember your username in a secure way as well as your language preferences, for example. Cookies mean that you do not need to fill out the same information each time you visit a website. For this reason, cookies are used to perform authentications on computers, to monitor your sessions and memorise the information regarding the activity of the users accessing a website and they can contain a unique identification code which allows to keep track of the movements the user makes within the website for statistic and advertising purposes. While on a website, the user can receive on the computer or mobile device cookies from other websites or web servers different from the one he/she is visiting (“third party” cookies). Some operations could not be performed without cookies, which become, in certain cases, technically necessary for the correct functioning of the website. There are different types of cookies depending on their characteristics and functions and they can remain on the computer of mobile device of the user for different periods of times: session cookies expire automatically when the user closes their browser; persistent cookies remain on the user’s devices for a fixed period of time.

In particular, Vendicari.net uses two types of cookie:

Technical Cookies:
This type of cookie is necessary for the correct functioning of certain sections of the website.
To be more specific:

Third-party cookies:
The portal uses contents from third-parties (thanks to source embedding techniques), it is therefore possible that while visiting the portal, some other cookies, both for the profiling of the user and technical cookies, are sent to the terminal of the user by these third-parties.
